About the Barbados St. Michael's Alumni (Toronto) Association 08/03/2008 5 Comments   The Barbados St. Michael Alumni (Toronto) Inc. is a non-profit organization comprised of graduates of the St. Michael School in Barbados.  The association was organized with the following aims and objectives:  to maintain a close relationship with former students; to honour our alma mater in Barbados; to provide scholarships for first year university students; to assist seniors in their transition years; and to promote youth talent whenever possible.   Since its inception the association continues to offer annual donations to The Herbie Fund (Toronto Sick Children's Hospital), to the Sickle Cell Association and to other worthy causes.  Our activities inlude an annual bowlathon; an annual dinner/dance; and participation in the Labour Day Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon.   This year we will be holding our Annual Dinner Dance on Saturday, October 25, 2008, at the Moonogian Cultural Centre (Markham Road/Progress).
